How agencies work

The basics of running an agency on MHive — teams, candidates, and jobs.

An agency finds people and puts them forward for an employer's jobs. On MHive an agency does its work through agency teams, candidate profiles, and job applications.

The pieces

  1. Agency capability — an admin gives your company the Agency capability. You cannot request it yourself; an admin sets it up.
  2. Agency team — you work inside a team. A team acts under one capability, so an agency does its work in an agency team. See Create an agency team.
  3. Candidate profiles — you create and manage the people you represent. See Add a candidate.
  4. Jobs — employers post jobs and can share them with your agency. You submit your candidates to those jobs. See Submit candidates to jobs.

How a placement flows

  1. An admin approves your Agency capability.
  2. You create an agency team and add your recruiters as members.
  3. You add candidate profiles for the people you represent.
  4. An employer shares an approved job with your agency.
  5. You submit a candidate to that job.
  6. An admin approves the submission, and the employer then sees your candidate.

Two ways a profile comes to you

  1. Managed — you create the profile yourself. It is owned by nobody and managed by your agency team.
  2. Delegated — a candidate who has their own account hands their profile to your agency to manage. They can take it back at any time. See Delegated profiles.
