How employers work

The basics of hiring on MHive — teams, job posts, and applicants.

An employer posts jobs and reviews the candidates put forward for them. On MHive an employer does its work through employer teams, job posts, and applicants.

The pieces

  1. Employer capability — an admin gives your company the Employer capability. You cannot request it yourself; an admin sets it up.
  2. Employer team — you work inside a team. A team acts under one capability, so an employer does its work in an employer team. Job posts belong to the team that created them.
  3. Job posts — you describe the role and the occupations you accept. See Post a job.
  4. Applicants — the system matches candidates to your job automatically, and agencies can submit more. See Review applicants.

How a hire flows

  1. An admin approves your Employer capability.
  2. You create an employer team and add your colleagues as members.
  3. You post a job. It waits for an admin to approve it.
  4. Once approved, matching runs and eligible candidates appear on the job.
  5. You can share the job with an agency, which submits more candidates. See Share a job with an agency.
  6. You review the applicants and contact the people you want to hire.
